C.C. Allis & Sons Inc. has a long tradition in the lumber and hardware industry. Since 1822 our family has been sawing lumber from several different mill sites in the local area, and even though we operate more than just a sawmill today, we still strive to provide a great product and quality service just like our family has always done. Here is a picture from our family photo album. This is one of the first mill sites located where our operation resides today. This operation started around 1900 and offered many services like wagon building, grain milling, and lumber sawing.
Our company today covers an area of twenty four acres and has seven major areas of operation. Not only do we still operate a softwoods sawmill but we also have a planing facility, dry kiln, truss rafter plant, special millwork shop, a 7000 sq. ft. hardware store, and a well stocked lumber and building materials yard. Here is a picture of what the complex looks like today. From this facility we operate a fleet of eight flat bed trucks with dump bodies, one van bodied truck, one boom truck, and a tractor trailer with a roller body stretch trailer. These trucks are on the road daily and cover an average radius of forty miles from our facility. We also offer a highly trained staff of employees that can assist everyone from the professional contractor to the do it yourselfer with any project they may have.
In the future we plan to keep building upon the success of past generations by offering expanded product lines and new services to all of our customers. These items along with our competitive pricing strategy and knowledgeable employees should help us maintain our respected presence in the area and ensure our growth and success for future generations.
